Elena Begma artist

Elena Begma

Born in Russia,

Lives & works in Berlin

Born in artistic family, I’ve been passionately drawing since childhood. I got professional art education, so my art is based on both academic knowledge and realistic perception of the world around. My paintings address such themes as history, man, religion, time and dance. I constantly enhance the range of my painting technics, searching for new manners and experimenting with gold, silver and varnish in colours. Painting several various series at the same time, from vivid portraits to monochrome figures, offers me new ways of seeing my work. I take my inspiration from people, objects, information.
